TROUBLESHOOTING
What if I walked on floor finish too soon?
Early traffic can mark a film that has dried at the surface but has not developed use strength.
Start with the label: Identify the exact product and do not assume another formula’s remedy applies.
What to check
- Stop additional traffic and inspect for footprints, dull areas or displaced coating.
- Do not add rugs or furniture while the finish remains vulnerable.
- Let the product reach its next stated milestone before evaluating the damage.
- Use the manufacturer’s recoating or repair procedure if marks remain.
Before attempting a repair
Record the application time, approximate temperature, humidity, layer thickness and surface. Compare those facts with the current manufacturer instructions. If the material affects structural strength, electrical safety, pressure containment, food contact or immersion, contact the manufacturer before placing it into service.
