PROJECT TIMELINE
Recaulking a shower: complete wait-time timeline
Plan the job around separate working, recoat, exposure and service milestones. The exact clock comes from the product you actually use.
Project sequence
- Remove failed material and prepare the joint as directed.
- Apply the correct bead and complete tooling within the stated working time.
- Wait for any paint-ready milestone before coating a paintable product.
- Keep the shower dry until the exact product’s water-ready time.
- Treat full cure as separate from first water exposure.
Do not add the times blindly: Some milestones run from initial application while others begin after a later coat or step.
