CONDITION GUIDE
What happens if a product gets wet before it is ready?
Early water exposure can range from harmless surface spotting to wash-off, swelling, whitening or bond loss. The correct response depends on the exact product.
Practical rules
- Stop repeated exposure when practical.
- Allow the surface to return to the specified conditions before evaluating it.
- Do not immediately cover damage with another coat.
- Use the manufacturer’s repair guidance when appearance or hardness does not recover.
Why Dry Time Now does not invent a correction factor
Different products dry through evaporation, chemical reaction, moisture exposure, cooling, ultraviolet light or combinations of mechanisms. A universal calculator would create false precision. Our product pages apply a numerical adjustment only when the manufacturer supplies a usable rule; otherwise they show the stated condition and a caution.
Best information to record
Write down the exact formula, batch or variant, application time, surface temperature, air temperature, relative humidity, thickness and ventilation. Those observations are more useful than simply saying the room felt hot, cold, dry or humid.
